Carol was born August 1951 in New York City. From childhood she had a consistently strong drive to express herself through art.
She attended and completed an intensive art program at the prestigious Music and Art High School in Manhattan where she received, upon graduation, a scholarship to further her art studies. After graduating, Carol decided to take the opportunity to explore and paint with many talented artists.
Living for a time in the art haven Mendocino County she produced and sold her own line of pen and ink greeting cards. After moving to the San Francisco Bay area she worked as a freelance illustrator for an advertising agency, which had her work placed in the San Jose Mercury News. She also participated in art shows, receiving various 1st place and honorable mention awards. Her paintings were also displayed in galleries in Berkeley and Carmel.
In 1989 Carol and her family relocated to the Central Valley to settle in a more quiet rural area. While there she worked as a freelance illustrator for various advertising agencies. Gottschalks, a local upscale department store, commissioned her to create the design for their 1997 Christmas store banner and shopping bag.
Over the years many businesses and individuals have commissioned Carol to produce various art pieces. She has taught art classes for children ages 7 to adult, and has worked in the public and private school systems. Currently, Carol is pursuing her painting while teaching art classes to individuals.
